LAUNDRY ROOM

Looking to update your laundry room or repair a problem? Here are a few of the laundry room services we offer!

1. Water Supply Installation & Repair:

  • Hot and Cold Water Lines- Laundry rooms require both hot and cold water lines for the washing machine. These lines connect to the water supply system in the house.

  • Shut-Off Valves: Install shut-off valves for both hot and cold water lines to allow for maintenance or repairs without shutting off the entire household water supply.

  • Water Hammer Arrestors: These devices are installed to prevent water hammer, which occurs when water flow suddenly stops or changes direction, causing noisy and potentially damaging vibrations in pipes.

2. Drainage System:

  • Washing Machine Drain: A washing machine drain line connects the machine to the household drainage system. It's essential to have proper drainage to carry away wastewater efficiently.

  • Utility Sink Drain (if present): If a utility sink is installed in the laundry room, it will also require a drain line connected to the main drainage system.

  • P-Traps and Venting: Similar to other plumbing systems, P-traps are installed beneath the fixtures to prevent sewer gas from entering the room. Vent pipes ensure proper air circulation and allow sewer gases to escape.

3. Utility Sink (if included):

  • Installation: If a utility sink is part of the laundry room setup, it requires both hot and cold water supply lines and a drainage system. It's useful for tasks beyond laundering, such as soaking clothes, handwashing, or cleaning.

4. Location and Space Considerations & Relocation:

  • Placement of Fixtures: Determine the optimal placement of the washing machine, utility sink, and any other fixtures in the available space to ensure easy access and efficient use.

  • Floor Drain (if applicable): Installing a floor drain in the laundry room can be beneficial in case of water leaks or spills, preventing potential water damage.

Proper installation and maintenance of laundry room plumbing are crucial to prevent leaks, ensure efficient operation of appliances, and maintain a functional and safe laundry space. It's recommended to hire a licensed plumber to handle the installation or any modifications to the plumbing system in the laundry room, ensuring compliance with regulations and the proper functioning of the plumbing components.

No matter what phase of your laundry renovation you are in we would love to work with you!
